I Lucked Out...
I was just talking to my best friend N, who has been married for 6 years to Jay(wow, time flies lol). Her mother in law has never really accepted her and gives her trouble a lot. My friend is 8 or 9 months pregnant right now, is on bed rest and is experiencing high blood pressure. Her mother in law called yesterday to ask if Jay could come over in the morning and wait at her house for a repairman. N told her yes, but he had to be back by a certain time so she could take their daughter to school. Mother in law said he'd never be done by then, got angry and hung up.
Mother in law calls Jay the next day while he's driving home from work (7:00 am) and asks him if he can do it. He tells her the same thing, he has to be back by 11:00 to drop off the car. She gets upset and says why can't N just walk their daughter to school. Well, because it's 10 blocks and she's on bed rest dummy. She told Jay that N is just being lazy. Wtf?
I feel bad for her when she tells me these things. My mother in law is so awesome. I mean, she's more of a mom to me than my actual mom! I couldn't have asked for someone better. So when N tells me how she treats her, I just wish she could have someone as awesome as mine. N's MIL favors her youngest son, and it's pretty obvious. N and Jay have one daughter, she's 5 and one on the way. Her MIL never really wants to see the 5 year old, she always has "other plans". She likes to go out with her friends, like she's in her 20's lol. It's just frustrating. I've known them all for so long, I feel like she's part of my family too lol.
Anyway, that's enough ranting today. I have to go to work in about 2 minutes. I get off at 9:00 and then I have to be at work at 7:45 am tomorrow! YUCK!!! AND I have to work Saturday! This place will be the death of me yet lol!

i have really good in-laws as well. one of my friends has a bad MIL and it's hard for me to relate to her because my MIL is good to me.
