Today will be a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Today was the swearing in of the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama. And I must say, as someone who supported him throughout the entire election and voted for him on Election Day, I am overjoyed to know that I helped in electing the first African American into the Oval Office. I took a look around today at school where everyone was watching him give his speech and everywhere I looked it didn't matter whether they we're black, white, Hispanic, Arab, or anything in between. all of them watched with respect. No one made any silly jokes, or was annoying. People around showed a level of respect and dignity that for the entirety of his speech made me feel very proud to be an American.
Now, on to how my day was besides the Inauguration, I got out to my car today to find it was frozen shut..again. I then had to climb in through the passenger side door, and slide over to the driver seat ( a ritual that I have become very accustomed to). Then of course my heat didn't fully kick in till I was parked at school, and about to get out. Must say I was lucky to find a good parking spot, that brightened my mood a little. Went to my first class to find out we were watching the Inauguration and literally hugged my teacher, this was only the third day of class..I'm an odd fellow. So my day went on and I went to my classes like a good little student, still feeling that pride I mentioned in the above paragraph. Now I am home and I am tired, I have another long day tomorrow, lots to do and only so many hours of light to use, therefore I bid you farewell..for now.
