Nikki here
This is the new pattern I am trying out for my nephew that is to be born.. some time this year. Tyrone(my boyfriend of 4 years)'s step-brother brandon is having a little boy. Sometime.. we aren't sure when haha. Anyway I picked this pattern hoping it would be a fast one. so far it's not that bad I just hope its going well.

Lion Brand® Jiffy®
GAUGE:
2½ clusters of Row 1 = 5 in. [12.5 cm] with 1 strand A, B, or C. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
Cluster: 5 dc in same space.
AFGHAN
With A, loosely ch 94.
Row 1: Work 5-dc cluster in 6th ch from hook, (skip 4 ch, cluster in next ch) 17 times, skip 2 ch, dc in last ch. Fasten off A. Turn.
Row 2: Join B and draw up a lp in sp between last dc and next cluster of previous row, ch 3 (counts as first dc of 3 dcs), work 2 dc in same sp, work cluster between each cluster of previous row; end with 3 dc in sp after last cluster. Fasten off B. Turn.
Row 3: Join C and draw up a lp in last dc, ch 3 (counts as dc), work cluster between first 3 dcs and next cluster of previous row, work cluster between each cluster across; end with cluster between last cluster and last 3 dcs, dc in last dc. Fasten off C. Turn.
Rows 4-78: Rep Rows 2 and 3, working in stripe pattern of 1 row each A, B, and C.
Row 79: With A, sc in first dc, ch 2, sc in center dc of next cluster (ch 4, sc in center dc of next cluster) 17 times; ch 2, sc in last dc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
FINISHING
Fringe
Cut 12 in. [30.5 cm] lengths of each color. For each Fringe, hold 8 strands of yarn together and fold in half. Use crochet hook to draw fold through edge of Afghan, forming a loop. Pull ends of Fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. Attach Fringe in each ch-sp along both ends of Afghan, working in A, B, C sequence, beginning and ending with A. Trim Fringe ends evenly.
