can't

05/14/2009

i'm crazy, i feel crazy.

is life still a gift when you aren't doing anything with it? i am doing nothing. i don't care where i am or who i am or how old i am, but i am doing nothing with my life.

i already look back on high school as a WASTE OF TIME. when i go to school for seven hours a day and i sit there, never learning a thing, not because of my lack of eagerness or willingness to learn, but because my school has gone to shit, because all teachers need to do to teach a subject is PASS A TEST, because the people that are teaching me are fucking crazier than i am, IS MY LIFE STILL A GIFT?

i realized, driving home tonight bumpin' patsy cline, that there are about three people in the world that make me genuinely happy right now, and i have already lost them or will lose them when i leave, and they leave. shoooooooooooot.

tonight Big D told me, "my heart is your heart."

it is all too much. too much.

my life is a gift. fuck me for not loving it.

ediiiit i think i need to get more sleep. and breathe a little more. haha.

H'OK,
Where do I start - "Life is a gift", YES - This is correct! However, it's a gift that doesn't always present itself as "useful". Which isn't saying it's not useful, it's just sometimes hard to figure out how to use life in a way that makes us feel fulfilled.

Now, there's a thriving "Self-Help" book section in most stores that is fed by people who can't figure out what to do with their life. I'm not pointing you to it, because 99% of them are crap. They're a money grab. I will suggest that you write your own. Couldn't hurt, and maybe you'll work out how to use your life...(Yes, silly, but that's me)

As for High-School, Yeah - waste of time, but it's something to do right now, and if you want to get into a school where you'll actually learn something, you need to get past the time-sink of High-School. Sorry. For a commentary on teachers and why they might be useless, watch the movie "Clueless" and pay attention to the teachers storyline and Cher's commentary on it. (It's sad that I'm resorting to using a Movie to instruct. That's a lot like modern day teachers..eek)

Happiness is sometimes elusive. You can't base your happiness on others. Other's can change, make you upset, go away, die...Let's just say, sometimes they won't make you happy. It's great when they do make you happy, you should never turn down an opportunity to experience the joy that other's can bring, but don't rely on it, it's ephemeral.

I don't remember Big D, and I'm doing my best not to turn the "D" into "DICK". It's only happening in my head because I'm a guy, and I assume so is D. It's nice that he cares, but seriously "my heart is your heart"? What the hell is that? What does it mean? Oh, right, he cares...sorry. The question becomes, do you care for him? Because, you don't seem enthused about the situation. Of course, you are GREAT at understatement, and sometimes I get lost.

"fuck me for not loving it." --- There are so many ways for me to look like an ass following up on this...and I'm not going to use any of them. I will say: Right now, you are in what can be called the most tumultuous period of your life. There are, quite literally, thousands of other teens feeling the way you do. I'm not trying to trivialize what you're going through - what I'm saying is that "I was there once". Actually, probably quite a bit more than once, but I digress...

Here's what I found out along my way, and maybe it will help:
1.) You are genuinely worthy of the gift called "Life" - get used to it.
2.) Life can be hard, unfair, and painful - Or not. You get to choose. (Yes, really)
3.) A lot of people out there really suck. They've chosen, poorly. Don't let them get you down.
4.) If the stuff you're doing doesn't make you happy, try more stuff. If nothing else, you'll be distracted and maybe have a little fun.

Keep in mind that even here in the U.S. happiness is not guaranteed. That's why the Declaration of Independence lists the "pursuit of happiness". It's kind of a journey, and some people even think that that's the whole point.

Wow. I wrote short book there. Sorry. You can ignore it if you like...

Damn it! I hate it when my log in times out in the middle of a comment (Serves me right for trying to write a book between calls.)

That diatribe of a comment above is from me.

Sorry if there's any confusion
