New Jersey in words
Friday I went to New Jersey via peterpan and switching in NY jumping on the Lakeland bus to NJ. The bus driver on peterpan was the one who asked me if I needed help. He was the one who made sure I had assist to the ticket booth and the Lakeland bus. Nothing came from the administrators. Because I had to wait for assist and walk to a dif building for the ticket and the Lakeland bus, I missed the 4;05 bus the 4;35 bus and had to take the 4;50 bus. My cousin waited patiently and I finally got to her about 6pm. We picked up her Aunt Lila.
We went back to Hayley’s home and she gave me a quick tore before we changed into nice clothes. I wore a shirt and tie with dress pants and shoes. I looked handsome. Hayley’s friend Julie came over the house and we went in one car to temple.
Hayley’s friend Benita met us at the temple and Hayley’s fiancée Anthony came in a bit late but he was coming from work.
Temple was beautiful and a little different than I am use to, as she goes to a reform temple and I go to a conservative temple. Their two Rabbis and canter all play instruments. It was nice.
There was a few other people who were given their Hebrew names on this night. They were called up to the bima and one by one, the Rabbi would call their name to step forward, tell something about the person and give them their Hebrew name followed by an explanation of their name. The Rabbi mentioned me as he said that people have come to be here to celebrate this day from near and far. (me = far) It was emotional. (I’m an emotional guy.)
When the ceremony was over we went to the function room where Benita sponsored the onaig. There was pastries and fruits and refreshments. It was nice. We sat around a bit talking about old days. I just sat back drinking it all up as I have never met this side of my cousin. It was getting late and we headed back to her house. Just Julie my self, Hayley and Anthony.
Anthony fired up the bbq and we had some hotdogs and Hayley made drinks. We watched the movie wedding crashers. I listened to it once before. During a break in the action I gave Hayley two little gift bags and a card. It was a gift of mazal tov. My parents bought her a mezuzah for her car. I bought her a star of David on a necklace. She loved it so much. I had a story that went along with the charm that her fiancée Anthony, would appreciate. A few years ago, my sister studied in England for a semester. While over there, my mom went for a long weekend. While there, they went to Italy and there was a Judaic store. My mom bought a bunch of jewelry for our temple’s gift shop and that is where I picked it out. …. She loved the story too.
After the movie we all went to sleep.
Saturday I woke up only a few hours after I went to sleep. With no internet, not knowing how to turn on the tv, I wrote the poems you see on the last entry while listening to music. Eventually I heard movement in the kitchen so I went I and Hayley was putting on coffee. I had a bowl of cereal and tea. Anthony eventually came in for a cup of coffee but he works on Saturday so he left pretty quickly. So Hayley brought me out back to “relax” she has a big yard with a brook running through it and a lot of wild animals. No music, not much conversation. I was bored. She asked if I was bored. (looking bored really showed on my face) I said I was kinda. She said but you wanted to relax. Yes, relax, but this is not relaxing for me. We took a walk around her yard. You could hear birds talking and the babbling brook but that’s really all to it as far as I was concern. She said “well, I have erins we can go do?” I quickly said ok. To that. We went to a few stores and out for lunch. (I’ll give you one guess) we went out for … Chinese food. We got dumplings, scallion pancakes and cold ginger noodles. That was so good. Yum.
We went back to her house so she could put up a new mirror she had bought for her room. Since her baby kitten knocked over the other one she had for 20 something years and shattered it. We listened to music and sat out side again but this time with music and a blue berry ice tea martini. Omg was that good. Mixing my fav alcohol and non alcohol beverages. We went back out to do a bit more shopping then went home. Eventually Anthony came home and made pizza. They have just cheese. It was alright. I’m not one for cheese pizza. We also had what she called a “salad” it was a bowl of the mix green letis. I was like, don’t you put tomatoes or cucumbers or something else on? She said nope, that’s all. Anthony doesn’t like tomatoes, she doesn’t like onions and they could do without cucumbers. We watched the movie dodge ball. It was really funny. A lot of good one liners, but also was pretty visual too. Some of the laughter was lost in the description. I would recommend it to anyone. It was only 10;30 when the movie was over. We all got changed and when I realized how early it was, I asked if I could watch tv. (they don’t watch tv. Tv to them is a means of watching movies) Eventually I got to listen to sports. I was having withdrawals. I had not heard sports news in 48 hours. I was good. I didn’t complain or anything even though the Celtics are in the playoffs, the bruins are in the playoffs and the redsox were playing games. However, I was so tired, since I had woke up at 3 that morning, I fell asleep within 30 mins.
Sunday I woke at 8. I got a lot of sleep. They weren’t up yet so I put my mp3 player and got caught up singing along. Eventually I heard Hayley in the kitchen so I got up and showered. We went down the street and picked up some yummy fresh Jewish bagels. We brought it back to the house and ate and ran out.
So I didn’t have to transfer, Benita offered to drive Hayley and I to the port authority in NYC and wait till Hayley dropped me off. However, there was a parking lot that was only? 15 dollars so we all went in. My gate was over the river and through the woods. Eventually we found my bus. Hayley put me on the bus herself (why they couldn’t help me, I have no idea) and I was on my way back home…
I was shipping up to boston woo o o
That, was my weekend in the short but not so short, version.

NEW COMPUTER!!
YES, I got my new computer in this morning. I emailed my older bro to see if he could set my computer up with the net on his days off. He only lives 30 mins away. He replied (as my sister would do) “I’ll do it on Sunday. I’ll be down for mother’s day”
So I have to wait an entire week to get on my new computer while it just sits there in the box. But it will be a bitch installing programs. I bet it will take a lot longer than my older bro will give me. I have to find a few programs too and write down some that I have that was down loaded. Not sure how to get those back. At least the old days, you have a cd to install with, now, everything is just down loaded.
That’s all for now.
Hope you check out my RC on the front page of bloop. GO ME!
