hi, so my grand father was feeling weak Wednesday. He didnt go to the hospital Thursday. They said first, he was dehydrated. Then they diegnosed him with "a taste of" pnamonia. So they have kept him in the hospital. However, his weakness has not gone away and the nurses are saying its the pnamonia. I went to visite him today and I dont know. He was mentally not with it. I want to believe that it is his hearing and he hears what he thinks he hears and response to that. I sat with my father and my grand parents watching the red sox game. Baseball wise, he knew what was going on and maybe he was just fixated, but he asked a few times if we would make the game if we left. He asked if I was going to go to the game. (I said I was going tomorrow, and said it a few different times)
It is just very hard to keep a smile and keep laughing and making others do the same...
The obstamistic point, he has been in hospital settings before and he has been mentally a lot worse but once he is out of the hospital and in his assisted living apartment with formilliar seroundings and getting up and being active, hopefully he will be ok again like he usually is.
But at 93, you never know.
My grand mother's b day is May first. She'll be 92.
Tomorrow night will start Passover
We will have 18 people for sader the first night and I think 15 the second.
My family keeps Koasher for passover. I am having a friend of mine over for the second night who is not Jewish. Megan. She's the redhead former coworker who I have gone to concerts, sporting event and out for dinner with before. When the tragity happened at work, she called me every night for about a week to see how I am doing.
PATRIOTS DAY
tomorrow is also the massachusetts holiday of Patriots day. It is also known as marathon monday. Tomorrow will be the 114th year of this race. It's the longest continuing marathon. There is about a half millian spectators and 20,000 partisapants.
The boston Red Sox also has their own tradition that coinsides, they play a game that starts at 11AM every year since ... I think the 40's. The game ends about the time the first runners go through the Fenway park area.
I was able to get tickets for this game.
I had a hard time finding people to go with, but my best friend is going and a friend of his and the friend's bro in law.
Funny thing...
so on Patriots day, an "american holiday" we are playing toronto blue jays, and we have Matsuzaka, a Japanese pitcher, pitching against Rickey Romiro, a hispanic pitcher.
alright, I'm out.
GO RED SOX!
