Truthfully, i don't think a relationship can really work if you are not satisfied, as you can see by the fact that you are cheating. I would tell him he either has to meet you half way to you cant be together.

talk to him & explain how this is making you feel. If you slowly bring him into what you like, it won't be like an overload for him & maybe that will help.
