home sweet home!

I love being home! I love being at school as well, but being home just has a comfort about it that being at school doesn't. I love seeing my family, my friends and sleeping in my own bed. This week in school was absolutely insane. It was just so hectic.

Last Sunday, I received an e-mail telling me that the job I applied for the 2nd time this January now had a spot open and the lady wanted to offer it to me. I was SO excited. It had taken them forever to contact me and I was irritated and just assumed that I wasn't meant for the job. But I started training on Monday - which made my life so chaotic - and I love the people and the job so far! I work at the Telephone Outreach Program, which means we call people to donate to the Grand Valley Fund and talk to them about their experience at GVSU and also update records for IT. Even though it's technically a telemarketing job, but I'm not complaining. It's exactly what I wanted. So I'm pumped.

I also worked on an animation project with my partner this past week for film. It took 14 hours total to make a 37 second PSA, but it looks great and I'm so glad to have it done.

Amanda, Kelsey and Jill came up on Wednesday and it was SO great to see them. We all just hung out, me, Amanda Kels and Jordyn went to the mall on Thursday and it was wonderful! Just like old times. (:

Came home on Friday, and let me tell you, it felt amazing. My mom had dinner ready for me and then Ashley, Alyssa and Baron came over and we hijacked my moms new car (which is WONDERFULLLLL, by the way!) and got slurpees, taco bell and played SkipBo and euchre. I haven't had that relaxed of a night with those guys in months and I missed it so much. Everything just seemed so normal, so great.

Yesterday I visited my Sito - which just makes my life so much better. I LOVE her. Uhib yusafir ila baytuha! <3 (I love to travel to her house! ) And then I went to PF Chang's with my dad for dinner. I've never been there before and it was delicious! Then I went to Ashley's for a movie nighttt. It was me, Ashley, Alyssa, Baron, Travis, Ivonne, Ray, Mitchell, Mitchell's friend Amber and then Ivonne had Will Toon over for a little while. Which was really, REALLY awkward. He only knew a few people and then he was like, all over Ivonne and it was just so weird. He left after not too long, so did Ray and Ivonne. We watched the Illusionist, which was fantastic. I've never seen it before. And then we watched Inception. It was my second time watching it and I picked up on SO much more the second time around. It's just a beautiful movie. It really is.

Anyway, I didn't get home until 5 AM last night, didn't get to bed until 6 AM, so I just slept in. Now I'm about to shower, get ready and then go out to dinner with my dad and maybe Amanda? (:
