Hey guys! Long time no see, right? Well, I finished up college on Saturday (well, actually on Thursday, but graduation wasn't until Saturday), so now I have WAY too much time on my hands! Seriously, I don't know what to do with my time considering I don't have a job yet. That's good news for you guys, though, because it means I'll update this diary more often!
I figured a good way to jump back into this is to do a LUSH Haul. My mom got me a LUSH gift box for Christmas, but I saw it and knew what it was so she gave it to me as a graduation/early Christmas present. lol
1. Twilight Bath Bomb
"Recreate twilight in your bath water with clouds of lavender, ylang ylang and ovaltine to soothe body and mind." I adore this bath bomb! The scent is soft, sweet and relaxing. The outside of Twilight is a lavender color and the inside is bright blue, which causes the color of your water to change throught the entire bath.
2. Candy Cane Bubble Bar
"Candy Cane smells like a freshly spun candy-floss cloud sprinkled with icing sugar and bubblegum drops." In all honesty I expected this to smell like peppermint. I hadn't read the description before hand. It smells more like a mix between Comforter and Creamy Candy. It is so sweet and yummy! I made a bath cocktail using half of this and Twilight and it was fabulous!
3. Angel's Delight Soap
"It really is hard to say what we love most about our heavenly holiday creation. There's the refreshingly fruity scent, bursting with tangerines and blackcurrants. And the beautiful iridescent glitter mixed throughout a sea of bright purples, oranges, blues and pinks." That pretty much sums up Angel's Delight. It is definitely citrusy, but not in an overpowering way. The blackcurrant scent is also in Comforter Bubble Bar, so that sweet scent is also prevalent in Angel's Delight.
4. Snow Fairy Shower Gel
"The sweet bubblegum and cotton candy scent of this shower gel..." is the perfect way to wake up in the morning! Snow Fairy is the same scent from the Bubblegum Lip Scrub. You can also use the Snow Fairy shower gel as a shampoo or even a laundry detergent! Could you imagine sleeping on sheets that smell like bubblegum and cotton candy?! Yum!
5. Iced Wine Shower Jelly
"In addition to the real Canadian Ice Wine we added in oils of grapefruit and bergamot to blend with the sweet notes while the seaweed infusion and glycerin take responsibility for your skin no matter how frisky you get in the steam." This really does smell exactly like Ice Wine! It smells fantastic! This is my first shower jelly and I adore it. It's so much fun! The jelly is as jiggly as jello!
6. Sugar Plum Fairy Body Scrub
"Turn on the hot water, hop in and scrub away winter blues with a bouquet of sensual jasmine, sweet ylang ylang and fresh orange blossom absolute." I haven't had a chance to use this one yet, but it smells amazing. It definitely fits into the same sweet smelling catagory as everything else in the gift box!
7. Bon Bon Lip Scrub
"During the winter months, it's traditional in Sweden to make mulled wine drinks with loads of fresh berries and lemon. We loved this idea so much that we packed our Christmas lip scrub with cranberry seed oil , lemon oil and a hint of shebert powder for a tart, scrubby treat." You can definitly smell the lemon in this citrusy scrub. It's a gentle scent, though. I love LUSH's lip scrubs. They take away the flakiness on your lips and they taste good, too!
All in all I was more excited to receive this gift from LUSH than I was the receive my degree (I got a BA in History, by the way). I think my family thought I was crazy. I told my brothers to poke the shower jelly. haha
