Gods i think it's been while since i did an update type thing so here goes.....
Last weekend was the B-day, i had an absolute blast, Friday i did my ususal gaming stuffs hung out with friends, but it ended up with me going to my buddy Alex's place for a mid-night multiplayer game of Warmachine....it was a hoot and a half.
i also had two very pretty service girls (one who works at Starbucks, and the other who works at Chapters) offer me very plesant birthday wishes, and the Starbucks girl gave me a free coffee..so wootage for me!
Saturday i went with Jasmin and Russell and Cam to the Museum of Science and Tech, that too was a blast. I think one of the best birthday presents i could have gotten was seeing how energetic Jasmin was and how much stronger she is since her surgery, so that was awesome. Then that night E and I went to see the new Terminator movie....i rather liked it, she didn't *shrug* what can you do?
the rest of the week passed in fairly standard fashion, nothing major happened,
And I attended a Sumbel today. For those in the audience who don't know; a Sumbel is a Norse Pagan (aka Heathen) gathering in which the particpants toast their Gods, Ancestors, and heroes. We tell stories, boast about our accomplishments. In the Norse religion community is very *Very* important and Sumbel is a way to strengthen our ties.
So, i attended Sumbel, and had a wonderful time, great stories, laughter and love shared. But something really interesting happened......i've been struggling with this 'who is the real me' thing for a bit now....trying to sort it out and integrate everything. And Erik, who has a really good insight said to me in a kind of off-hand and casual way.....and i may be misqouting i've had a fair bit of beer and wine (mandatory for Sumbel) but if memory serves he said "I know you're a really good guy"
And...whether he realized or not, and i suspect he doesn't it's a really interesting and strong insight, though i might be inclined to shrug off had he not made a simliar insight on an unrelated topic last Sumbel....
Anyways i wanted to get that down right away while it's fresh in my mind....i'll give it more though on the morrow
