State of Being: it's my day off. i'm forcing myself to be happy, energetic, and stress-free. (the stress is the biggest challenge. too many thoughts in my head)

what's that noise?: nothing at the moment. i just heard russ turn on the PS4 in the bedroom. he'll probably put something on Netflix. my guess is adventure time or that stupid smalltown security show. (while i completely respect any and all humans. ie. more power to any and all unique individuals. I campaign in promoting weirdness. That show i can only handle in small bits.)
So monday after school, one of my students had a full seizure. He's prone to seizures, so it isn't surprising, but it still scared me to no end. He had to leave school early for a doctor's appointment, and from what I heard had a seizure there. He had to spend a couple days in the hospital where they found a lesion on his brain. It could be new or old. They aren't sure. But I have been so worried.
He came back to school on Thursday thoroughly livid that he was kept in the hospital. He blames and hates the doctors thinking they are keeping him from fighting. (he fights MMA)
pause: I just had to answer the door. The FedEx guy brought a package for Russ' job. (he gets packages all the time) He did a Lindsay knock. (shave and a haircut) I was temporarily excited that my Lindz had bumrushed me at random. lol. But it wasn't her. Then I came back to my lap-top to find it crashed. bleh. it's been doing that a lot lately. Time for a new one. But money and sentimental value gets in the way. Oh yeh! I went into the room to tell Russ who it was. And now he's watching a movie named Cyborg.)

He does have a mental disorder, so he doesn't exactly understand what is going on with him. When you talk to him, you'll never know, until it's time to learn things. He's probably going to end up getting a special diploma when he graduates.
But he had me so worried. It was really good to have him back in class. I've been kind of easy on him the last couple days. Usually he can be a little disruptive with the talking out and random tapping. But I missed him. He's a good kid.
Especially Wednesday. He was out, and one of my other students as was out also.

The two of them are my biggest participators. And of course, my principal has to come in that day to observe me. and Of COURSE, I had to try something new that day, which the kids didn't respond to well. And anytime i asked a question, nobody wanted to speak. So the kids looked bored and miserable. *sigh* I can never win.
But he seems fine now. We have to watch him closely just in case. He was getting silent seizures last week. Yesterday he had a nosebleed in class. It scared the crap out of me.
So yesterday with my middle school kids, I wanted to make clouds. It worked at first, then the cork got stuck in the bottle, and the air pump broke. again, with the I can never win. I'm going to try it again on Monday. At least I'll be more prepared. :) maybe I'll find some other corks, and I have to buy the school a new air pump for the balls. lol But it was really cool. It was funny. I was debating on buying some food coloring too, to make colorful clouds, but didn't have time. The kids themselves asked me if they can make them colorful. So I knew I should've done it.
What else happened this week?
wal-mart has been stressful as usual. I despise that place.
OH! so yesterday, I had the day off the pharmacy, but I had to stop by my store anyway. On Sunday, I forgot to clock in and out for lunch. If we work over 6 hours without a break, we'll get written up. I haven't had time to stop by personnel to get it fixed so I just went after school yesterday. Apparently, they fixed it for me. yayfun! I decided it would be a good time to to re-enroll for benefits next year. Again with the lack of time to head to personnel to ask. And I knew the deadline was coming up. aaaaand I do not qualify for insurance next year. Over 5 years at that place, and I can't get insurance anymore. Because I'm part-time. they took away insurance for part-timers. ugh! did I mention my lack of love for that place?
It's not like I go to the doctor that often. Maybe twice in the last 5 years. Once because I was coughing for at least 3 weeks, and just a month ago, because my knee had been hurting for about a month. (it still hurts)
But what if I get in an accident? what if i get really sick? what if i get pregnant? I need insurance. That's why it's call insurance. Stupid wal-mart. Just because I'm part-time doesn't mean I'm any less deserving. But no wal-mart finds any way to save themselves money.
anywho, I have to get up and get ready. A friend of mine from college is going to be in town today, and I'm going to meet up with her for a couple hours. She actually lives a couple hours south of me, but I don't see her at all. I hadn't seen her in years until she came to my wedding last year.
Technically, we didn't go to college together. I was working on a play, and they hired her to be a stage manager so we worked together for a while. It's funny, because she and her now fiancee work at the Renaissance Festival every year with one of Russ' best friends.
Our wedding last year was technically fantasy themed and we kind of joked to everyone that they can show up in costume if they wanted. (secretly, i was really hoping for someone to lol) And Gina's fiancee was really wondering if they were supposed to. When they saw Reid there (Russ' friend), they were worried that they didn't bring a costume to change into. lol But no one wore a costume. And it's such a small world. At least they found someone to sit with.
I'm meeting Gina at starbucks at noon, and I still have to take a shower.

(edit: so much for a shower. the apartment people turned the water off to work on something. ugh! We need to move. They can't just turn off the water without warning us. Now I'm all kinds of gross, and I have to meet an old friend for the first time in a while. lol. awesome! okay. i'm not THAT bad. But I'm very OCD about showering every day before I leave somewhere. It's Saturday! who turns the water off on a Saturday at 11?)
