all the crossfit hero wods are named after fallen heroes.
(fun fact: There are crossfit boxes in Iraq/Afghanistan... and they do these named Wods, too).
Murph is one of the harder ones and usually done, as you can guess by the title, on memorial day.
"While wearing a 20lb weighted vest do the following for the shortest time possible:
Run a mile
100 pullups
200 pushups
300 squats
run a mile"
Now-- I broke all the work in the middle up into 20-sets of 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats. this was BY FAR easier than doing it strict/straight.
You could also do:
20 rounds of:
run 80 meters
5 pullups
10 pushups
15 squats
It took me 49:28.
It usually takes people about an hour. It's killer, but makes you feel better after eating a shit-ton of bbq.
