strike
So, we took the kiddo's trick or treating last night. Turned out really good. I was kinda worried about it being as we always went to our old neighborhood even when we didn't live there because that was where i went as a kid but that was just to far to drive last night especially on little gas and a bad tire. But we always usually go with someone in the family and i didn't think that would happen this year. I took the kids to the halloween thing at the mall the other night with my sis and they said something about coming our way to trick or treat because she wanted to go some place new. I told her that we would probably go to Lakewood which is a really superb area. We've been there before even when we went to the old neighborhood because it was on the way to jeff's mom's and we always bring the kids to her cause she has stuff for them. but usually by the time we get there most are done handing candy out. but still they hand out full-size candy bars and stuff so even if it was 4 houses they would make out good. lol. they talked about coming but never called or anything. same goes with the other sis. oh well they're loss because the kids made out great! with full-size candy bars and all. They each got two grocery bags full! The only downside to it was that because it's a kind of rich neighborhood the houses are huge with long drives and alot of it's built on hills and stuff so it was a lot of walking and a lot of uphill-ness lol. but i've gotten into pretty good shape with this new job and i was doing a lot better than the boys. i kept them going by saying stuff like "omg, mommy is beating you!" "i bet i can beat you to the next house" and blah blah blah. i told them that's what they get for sitting on their butts all year watching t.v. and playing video games. jeff and i had a bet on who would out last who but it was more or less a draw. but i feel so bad though because since starting this new job i'm usually just plum wore out at the end of the day to do much of anything. we usually get to the weekend where we normally just work for about 2 hours and then spend the rest of the day cleaning house from the week before. i mean when i get home for work i don't do shit. i hardly even cook supper. it's usually sammiches or something microwaveable. so basically the point is I never got to decorate for halloween which is totally unlike me. i managed to put a skeleton next to the porch, a big bat in the living room and that was it. i put lights on the porch and then couldn't find extension cords because there is no outside light socket. so they're up just not in working condition. not only that but we never even carved pumpkins. we usually have about 10 of them and being as we grew our own this year we were totally excited. we started late in planting them so they weren't all that big and half of them were still green or partly green but i don't care about that. i've bought green pumpkins before because i thought that they were cool. but yeah never carved one. sad. but i promise christmas won't be the same. i will decorate for christmas. i think i'm just relieved because today when i clean i can put all the halloween stuff away. it's all in the kitchen semi-pulled out of boxes in anticipation of being hung or whatever. but now i can get it out of there and get my kitchen clean again.
oh, and i'm so mad! last night i set my alarm for 6 am...well turned the button on since it's already set. but i had to check and make sure i had the right time by my cell because at some point the power went off yesterday. not long enough to reset the clock though only to make it blink. so this morning it goes off. i turn it off. i fall back asleep till 6:37. i wake up, go to the bathroom, try to get jeff up (who didn't go to be till 2am) and he wouldn't get up. so i'm like coffee!! then i'll try to wake him. so i make my coffee, sit on the couch and i go to check my phone to see if my brother called last night saying why his ass hadn't showed up and my phone says 5:55. uh. wtf? now i know my phone and clock were in sync because of last night. so i check my clock and then it hits me that apparently time changed this weekend. nobody told me!! i never say any mention of it online or anything. ugh! so i spent all that time on here basically lol. but now it's really 6:59 so i have to get jeff up for work. ciao!
